Last Saturday a GI named Al -- no one knows what his last name is -- went to the Stage Door Canteen to watch the others dance. He couldn't dance -- in fact, he couldn't even walk, but Marjorie Greenstein, one of the hostesses, who is a student at Brooklyn College, talked him into trying. He ended up the evening with jitterbugging, but he left his crutches behind as a souvenir for Marjorie. Photo measures 6 x 8 inches. Photo is dated --1945.
