New York: Sadie Taylor is probably the authoritative baby-sitter. For the past month, she has deveoted all her time, 24 hours a day and seven days a week, to mothering, nursing and doctoring 3 baby gorillas in a New York Pet Shop. On Aug. 9 she accompanied the babies on a flight to deliver them to the San Diego Zoo. Gorillas go through the same routine as higher bracket babies, and react with more squirms and screams. Miss Taylor washes the infants daily with alcohol and warm water, rubs their chests with salve, and feeds them with a special formula. Since July she hasn't slept at her home and hasn't eaten a decent meal. The pets hail from the cameroons, French west Africa. Photo measures 5 x 7 inches. Photo is dated 08-16-1940.
