Description
These two Russian versions of the Bible are on display at the American bible Society Headquarters in New York City. At left is rare copy of the Bible printed in Russian in 1580 during the time of Ivan the Terrible. At right is the "Leningrad" Bible, translated into Russian by Jakov Zhidkov leader of delegation of 5 Russian Baptists now visiting the US. The latter volume represents the last known printing of the scriptures in Russia. Zhidvoc and his delegation viewed the two Bibles at the Society Headquarters recently.
