The Security Council vote was 8 to 1 with 2 abstentions. Bottom photo shows Sobolev vetoing a U.S. resolution to send an international police force to Lebanon under the UN Flag. The vote was 9 to 1 with Sweden abstaining. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 07-18-1958.
