1947 Press Photo New York Guild for the Jewish Blind Officials meeting NYC

The New York Subway system is finally solved for New York thousand of Blind persons with the development of an amazing chart in Braille of the entire subway and elevated system.The chart more than a year in the making is the work of blind William Wiltchik (Right) of the New York Guild for the Jewish Blind seated Leonard M. Wallstein President of the Guild. Developed with the cooperation of the Board of Transportation the Guild will publish these charts and distribute them free to all City Blind persons on request.
