Description

Jamaica Plains, Mass.-- To keep the driveway of his home free from snow and ice next winter, Frank Ewer has installed an Automatic Snow Melting System consisting of wrought iron pipe coils carrying hot water from a small boiler in his garage. A few inches of concrete will be laid over the pipe, shaped into the form of a grid, with a sinuous coil near the doors. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 04-10-1946.
