Group was attending a meeting of the National Conference of Christians and Jews on Oct. 8th which Basil O'Connor was named to head a mobilization for national unity membership drive in the New York area. Purpose of Mobilization was to oppose groups spreading racial or religious hatred. LTR: Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Father Edward Walsh, Basil O'Connor, Dr. Everett Clinchy and Rabbi Samuel Golenson.
