1946 Press Photo New York Rockefeller Center Christmas tree raised in NYC

Derrick begins the job of lifting to an upright position Rockefeller Center's traditional Christmas tree. Decorations were hung on the upper branches before the stately 75 foot Norway spruce was places in position. Begining Friday evening Dec 13th , 800 globes on the tree will be brilliantly illuminated by means of unique use of ultra violet light Photo measures 7 x 9.25 inches. Photo is dated 12-09-1946.
