1935 Press Photo New YorkFlorence McVey slain with grandmother in NYC

Florencce McVey 18 who together with her grandmother Mrs Nora Kelly was found murdered in the latter's home at 360 Marine Avenue in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. Both had been criminally assaulted and murdered. The girl's body was found on the living room floor, that of the grandmother hanging by a length of electric light cord from a cellar rafter. Mournful howling of their pet dog Brownie attracted a neighbor's attention and the grisly find was made early this morning April 1st Photo measures 6.5 x 8.75 inches. Photo is dated 04-01-1935.
