1938 Press Photo New York Two-week-old Baby left on Doorstep at Brooklyn NYC

All I am asking in a nice home and someone to love and care for me. The hand of an educated woman had written this note and left it with a Two week old Baby girl, wrapped in a blanket and deserted at the doorstep of Mr and Mrs Sidney Perry. The Note alson asked that the Baby not be sent to an institution but the Perry's returning from a movie to find the waif called Police, who took the child to a nursery and infants Hospital.
