Survivors of a torpedoed British ship who arrived here last night were up early today to receive clothing from the British War Relief Society at the Wellington Hotel. This young survivor William Whelan, 4, of Australia, found plenty of clothing for himself & his mother & is on his way to take them to her.

Photo is dated 1942.
