When Marian Cribbs a registered nurse was awakened by a man tweaking her big toe and saying the reason I am waking you up is that I am robbing you she sat up in bed and explained that she was just a working girl and hardly worth robbing then suggested they talk things over. In the course of their talk the uninvited visitor said you are very pretty I think Id even like to marry you. Ive got $1000 saved up and Im sure we could make a go of it. Stalling for time Miss Cribbs suggested the burglar leave and telephone her as a proper young man should. He left telephoned and the date was made. However the detective that accompanied Miss Cribbs made an arrest. Photo measures 6 x 8 inches. Photo is dated 03-30-1939.
