1943 Press Photo New York Frank Sileo gives blood at the Red Cross NYC

Frank A Sileo of Brooklyn is repaying a debt to the Red Cross incurred when his son PFC Nicholas Sileo if the USMC was wounded in the battle at Guadalcanal. Nurse Mrs Gloria C Barbour helps the grateful father to return the blood the Red Cross used to save his sons life. PFC Sileo is now stationed at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital.
