Photographers crowd around to snap the Tucks as they leave the Swedish exchange liner Gripsholm. He was American Charge D'Affaires at Vichy and was interned by the Germans when they moved into France. The ship carrying 524 American repatriates, left Libbon last week and docked at Jersey City today. The Tucks are from upper Marlborough, Md. Photo measures 7 x 9 inches. Photo is dated 03-15-1944.
