1934 Press Photo New York RR Labor leader, Whitney, speaks at Cooper Union NYC

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description

A.F. Whitney, making this speech, must not be connected with the society clan of that name. He is President of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, and is quite on the other side of the political fence. He is speaking at Cooper Union on the same program as Mild Reno, head of the recent farm revolt in the Midwest. Photo measures 6.5 x 8.75 inches. Photo is dated 01-04-1934.
