1943 Press Photo Secretary of Navy Frank Knox presents honor awards to officer

Secretary of Navy Frank Knox on behalf of President Roosevelt, presented the Distinguished Service Medal to Vice Admiral Henry Hewitt for his services as Commander of the Naval Forces which covered the US Landings in French Morocco in November. The ceremonies took place in the office of Mr. Knox. Left to right Secretary Knox, Vice Admiral Henry K. Hewitt and Mrs. Hewitt.
