As a result of the assassination of Chancellor Dollfus of Austria, Premier Mussolini, acting as Minister of War, Navy and Aviation, directed that all military forces in the Italian Kingdom be held in readiness for any eventuality. Photo shows the machine gun squad of the Italian volunteer militia in action during recent army maneuvers.
