1941 Press Photo Baldwin Locomotive Workers gather at BurnhamPennsylvania

Three thousand workers with their facilities gathered at Burnham Pa., September 16 to attend ceremonies at which Rear Admiral George Pettengill, commandant of the navy yard presented employees of the Baldwin Locomotive works the Bureau of Ordnance flag and the navy "E" Pennant for outstanding production of Navy Ordnance. Baldwin's president, Charles Brinley, accepted the flags for the employees.
