Miss Mignon Rudd demonstrating a new ball playing machine in the toy show at the Chicago Furniture Mart. A foot lever pulls a cable that releases the ball from the net in the foreground and tosses it. The stronger the pressure on the lever, the harder the ball is thrown. The ball is pitched back into the net and is ready for the next toss.
