1941 Press Photo 1941 midshipmen graduates toss their hats at the Dahlgren Hall

They're Future Admirals Now Annapolis, MD: - Midshipmen, after receiving their diplomas at the 1941 graduating exercises, Feb. 7, toss their middie hats high in the air for the lucky retrievers to keep as souvenirs. Graduation for these youths, who will become officers in the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps, was held four months ahead of the usual June ceremony due to war emergency. Site of graduation was Dahlgren Hall of the U.S. Naval Academy.
