1953 Press Photo Prisoner of War Herman Smith carried from plane in Honolulu

Prisoner of war repatriate Pfc. Herman Smith of Louise, Ky., is carried off the Freedom Flight plane here. Smith managed a weak smile and a wave at the hula girls who were on hand to dance for the returning POW's as he was carried from from the plane to a waiting ambulance.
