Beach, Naval Aide to President Eisenhower (right) lights the American Legion Peace Torch which will be flown to Europe for use in a Veterans Day observance at Antwerp Belgium, Shown during the ceremony at the White House 10/26 are (left to right) Henry Beardsly, who will carry the torch to Antwerp: Capt. Berpin J. Resimont, asst. military, naval, and air attache of the Belgian Embassy: Wm. F. Hauck, Director of the American Legion National Office, and Comdr. Beach.
