Lt. General Delos C. Emmons, Chief of the GHQ, air force arrived today at Mitchell Field on Long Island, preparing for the first demonstration of the Civilian air raid spotters and how it will he handled from the air fields. 500,000 civilian air raid spotters would be mobilized into a nation-wide network modeled after setups in Great Britain but in a larger scale. 1- Lt.
