Patterson Presents West Point Diplomas West Point, N.Y. - Under Secretary of War Robert P. Patterson presents Cadet Henry Joseph Mazur, Army Halfback, with his diploma during the U.S. Military Academy graduation exercises today. In the center is Col. Sherbourne Whipple. The class of 1943 -- graduating five months sooner than peacetime classes -- received B.S. degrees and commissions as second lieutenants.
