General John Hodge, Commanding General of the Third US Army who has recently been named to succeed General Mark W. Clark as chief of Army Field Forces, paid a brief visit to field Forces headquarters today to confer with General Clark, General Hodge will return to his Third Army headquarters in Atlanta this evening.
