1955 Press Photo Pilots of American Bomber which was fired by Russian Fighters

Lt. D. M. Lockhart, Alameda California, co pilot of navy bomber fired on by Russian fighters over Bering Sea and Lt. R. H. Fischer Del Rey Oaks, California pilot of the plane stand, before map after giving detained report of incident here 6/24. Eleven Navy airmen aboard the plane escaped death when Fischer crash landed his plane on St. Lawrence Island. Some suffered minor injuries.
