1945 Press Photo General Mark Clark and family during Memorial Day celebration

General Mark Clark, Commander of the victorious Allied Armies in Italy, who arrived by plane from Paris today (May 30) with 50 heroes of his 5th Army for Memorial Day ceremonies, is joined by his wife, Maurine and his daughter , Ann, 17 (left), who flew in from Washington DC, last night (May 29). Clark and his group comprised of 10 Generals, 20 other officers and 22 enlisted men were conducted on a 15 mile Military Parade from the airport through the city's streets lined by cheering throngs.
