Plumbers "Sink" Pilot Alameda, Calif.: Home from Korea aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Princeton, Lt. Carl B. Austin heads shorewards with his wife, Peggy, his daughter, Jacqueline and a kitchen sink, Nov. 3. In a special ceremony, Alameda County plumbers and Machinists presented him with sink, scroll and plaque at the Naval Air Station. The whole thing dates back to last August 29 in Korea. During a raid on Pyongyang, North Korea, the Navy pilot loosed a one thousand pound bomb. Attached to the bomb was a kitchen sink.
