Three veterans of the last war in Company L chat during a rest period on the Armory floor from left to right are Private W. G. Clark (ex of the World War Royal Scots, three wound stripes): Corporal James Terry (ex of the Royal Irish Rifles and Yorkshire Light Infantry, four wound stripes) and Private John M. Ruane, American ex doughboy and grenade thrower (two wound stripes).
