1945 Press Photo Little Helen Sue Goldy balances on his father's thumb

Three year old Helen Sue Goldy shown balancing by one foot on the thumb of her father, Sid Goldy, not only entertains at soldiers' camps with her Gyroscopic feats but interests the medical world as well. While the child is completely normal, doctors say she has a larger than usual semi circular canal in her head which controls the sense of balance and accounts for the little girl's talent.
