Photo shows the new destroyer, the USS Craven, sliding down the Quincy, Mass. plant of the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company. The ship was christened February 25th by Mrs. Frank Learned, daughter of the late Commander Tunis A. McD. Craven, commander of the iron clad Tecumseh, which was exploded by a mine during the Civil War and for whom the ship was named.

Photo is dated 1937.
