1945 Press Photo Sgt Freund's Records Scrutinized by Pfc Leonard Gittler

The records which Sgt Freund has brought in a sealed envelope are scrutinized by Pfc Leonard Gittler at the Initial Receiving Point. The clerk makes certain that everything is in order, that nothing is missing, and that the bearer possesses the proper identification tags. After a complete examination of all records and orders, Pfc Gittler hands Sgt Freund a booklet called "What Next?" which explains separation procedure and tells what to expect during the short stay in the center.
