1948 Press Photo Staff Sergeant Milliard Uthman holds United States Savings Bond

Staff Sergeant Milliard Uthman, Wheeling Recruiter was completely surprised to find himself the heir to an estate valued at $80,000. The sergeant reaffirmed his intention to be a twenty year Army man by stating that he will immediately reenlist when his present term of enlistment has lapsed.
