Description
Four jet plane pilots, who will compete in the 1947 National Air Races at Cleveland, view one of the first airplanes bought by the U.S. Army. The plane used in 1909-10, is on exhibit in the Aviation Building of the Smithsonian Institute. Left to right are: Col. Be Preston Jr., Crow City, Florida, Major Clay Albright, Elreno Oklahoma. Lt.
