1947 Press Photo Gen Dwight Eisenhower presents Legion of Merit to Lt Gen Atalla

General of the Army Dwight D Eisenhower presents the Legion of Merit Degree of Chief Commander to Lieutenant General Ibrahim Pasha Atalla, Chief of Staff of the Royal Egyptian Army, at ceremonies in the Pentagon here May 19th. Gen Edward Witsell, Adjutant General US Army Center reads the citation. Other members of Gen Atalla's staff who accompanied him on his tour of US Army installations also received the Legion of Merit.
