1934 Press Photo Patrol of Carabineers Crossing Primitive Bridges Rebels Destroy

A communist led rebellion of peasants as Ranquil Chile was halted when government carabineers bottled up the rebels in a small Andean Valley on July 5. This photo shows a patrol of Carabineers crossing primitive type bridges which the rebels easily destroyed to prevent rapid pursuit.
