Allies troops (black arrows) routed Communist defenders (white arrows) to capture "Bloody Ridge" (box with pointers" after a 18 day limited offensive, To the northwest UN units beat off Red counter attacks on the approached to Kumsong, a Communist buildup area. Marine fighter planes strafed (blast symbol) an enemy concentration south of Wonsan, port city on the wast coast, Allied units along the battle line were being alerted for an expected Red counter offensive.
