Fleet Admiral King in new uniform - Fleet Admiral Ernest J. King, Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Fleet, and Chief of Naval Operations, is photographed in his new uniform as he attends the presentation of Medals of Honor to Army and Navy personnel in the White House by President Roosevelt on January 10, 1945. The change in Fleet Admiral King's uniform consists in the addition of a fourth half-inch stripe of gold braid on either sleeve. The five-star shoulder-board and collar insignia is circular in form (Washington)
