Eden confers with Laval on African crisis. Anthony Eden (left), Britain's chief delegate to the three-power conference on the Italo-Ethiopian dispute in Paris, which ended in failure. Sir Robert Vansittart, permanent head of the British Foreign Office (center), and Sir George Clerk, British Ambassador in Paris, leaving the French Foreign Office in Paris, after a conference with Premier Pierre Laval which preceded the three-power parley.
