1938 Press Photo Sally Clark and George McLanahan announce engagement

Sally Clark, younger sister of Mrs. John Roosevelt and who made her debut as a professional singer recently has formally announced her engagement to wed George McLanahan, socialite New Yorkers, January 6. She will continue with her singing career, she says and "may go to Hollywood." There will be a large church wedding followed by a smaller reception, Sally says "and ten I'll go right back to my work." Photo shows Sally Clark and George McLanahan as they enjoyed an evening's relaxation at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel here August 15.
