1941 Press Photo Mary Ruth Northington aids Laddie whose too weak to stand

Laddie, the Airedale dog that went on a hunger strike when his owner enlisted in the army four months ago, lies on the floor of Kansas City's Municipal Airport give him an injection to try and strengthening him up. Aiding him is Miss Mary Ruth Northington, hostess for TWA Laddie was unable to complete the trip west to meet his owner.
