1963 Press Photo Earthquake Strikes Resort Town Killing and Injuring 1500 People

This February 22 aerial photo shows some of the damage caused by the earthquake that struck this resort town late February 21 killing or injuring an estimated 1,500 persons. United States and British soldiers were digging through the rubble for survivors.q
