Kenneth L. Dixon, second from left, seated, former War Correspondent and present Managing Editor of the American Press, went on trial, December 5, on charges he defamed the parish district attorney, assistant district attorney and 13 members of police jury, county governing body. Seated left is Clement Moss, attorney for defense. Right, with bow tie, is co-publisher of American Press, Hugh Shearman, also charged with defamation. On left, standing, is special prosecutor M.E. Culligan.
