1966 Press Photo Two passers-by try to stop jewel robbers in London, England

Lady Isobell Shepard and Frank Freeder led a phalanx of morning shoppers into battle against ax welding jewel theives. Armed with her umbrella Lady Shepard led frontal attack and Mr. Freeder with the cudgel were no match for the thieves they were still able to escape with $42,000 worth of gems.
