1943 Press Photo Waves Caused by Gale Threaten Apartment Lake Michigan Chicago

A retaining wall and sidewalk were smashed at the apartment building. Reports from Indiana and Michigan shores of the lake claim sandbag barricades may have to be built before winter storms come to protect shore property.
