Sheridan Downey, Atherton, California, candidate for Democratic nomination for United States Senator, headed the list of names filed with Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters, William Kerr. Attorney Peirson M. Hall, former United States Attorney at Los Angles, filed the papers. Hall announced his retirement from the Senatorial race Monday in order to throw his support to Downey.
