1955 Press Photo Raccoon Tries to Escape Humane Society Through Crack St Louis

Spectators watch as a raccoon attempts to escape Missouri Humane Society officers by making its way groundward between walls of adjacent buildings in downtown St. Louis. The animal was later captured when he returned to the roof. Residents reported he had been in the vicinity for several weeks.
