Two talented blind youths received that undreamed of aid - "seeing eye" dogs - for Christmas presents when they accepted invitations to be guests at an entertainment program at the Elks Temple in Los Angeles, California. The surprised and overjoyed youths, Blaine McDowell, (left) with "Utah," german shepherd dog, and Ralph Jenkins, with "Lord," Irish Spaniel, are shown with Michael Shannon, (left, rear) founder of the Elks Foundation, and J.J. Doyle, past exalted ruler of the Los Angeles Lodge.
