Pope Paul VI kneels down to shake hands with helmeted workers after celebrating Christmas Mass early December 25th in a giant steel mill. Fifteen thousand workers in overalls and helmets stood before the Pope as he celebrated the unique Mass in the vast "Cathedral of Steel" of the Italsider Steel Plant, its dimensions equal to those of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
