1961 Press Photo Story Behind Tombstone of Alexander Schneider

Photo shows the Tombstone for 19-year-old Alexander Schneider in the Forest Cemetery, depicts the tragedy which cosy him his life. Schneider and 51 other people died on December 17, 1960, when a US Air Force Plane with students aboard crashed into a streetcar in downtown Munich. As the plane fell into the city, the tower cross of St. Paul's Church was damaged, as shown on the grave stone.
